"LOL SOME GREAT NAMES ON THAT SITE BUT HOW IS HONEY POT LANE RUDE ?"

Ooops! Sorry about that 69. I suppose that a VERY long comment full of dirty words is a perfect candidate to be pulled in for questioning by the bizzies on this site though! :-)

69, It's a euphemism for a certain part of the female anatomy. It's a weak entry though.

•Breaston - near Nottingham
•Penistone - Yorkshire
•Twatt - There's two of these, one on Orkney, one on Shetland - I guess it means something else in the old language
•Lickey Hole - can't remember where
•Honey Pot Lane - signposted from the A1 between Stamford and Grantham
•Bell End - there's lots of these
•Six Mile Bottom - signposted from the A11 south of Cambridge
•Pant - near Newtown in Mid Wales
•Lord Herefords Knob - near The Black Mountains
•Brown Tongue - on the way up Scafell Pike
•Giddy Horn - submitted by 97parkerb
•Cold Blow - also submitted by 97parkerb
•Licky End - nr J1 M42 - thanks to **** & ******** ******* for this one
97ParkerB has offered these too:

•Dildo - Newfoundland, Canada
•Wankers Corner - Oregon, United States
•Mother Dillons Knob - Northern Territory, Australia
•Cunte - Peru
•Bum - Nicaragua; Sudan
•Bum Bum - Venezuela
•Vagina - Russia
•Bitche - France; Mozambique
And more from the UK

•Butt of Lewis - Scotland, UK
•Breaston - near Nottingham
•Penistone - Yorkshire
•Twatt - There's two of these, one on Orkney, one on Shetland - I guess it means something else in the old language
•Lickey Hole - can't remember where
•Honey Pot Lane - signposted from the A1 between Stamford and Grantham

•Licky End - nr J1 M42 - thanks to **** & ******** ******* for this one
•Bitchfield - England, UK
Nelson offered the following:

•Titsey Hill, near Westerham in Kent
•Succombs Hill, also near Westerham
•Pratts Bottom, near Orpington in Kent
Maybe these Kentish folk have a hitherto undiscovered penchant for rude place names!

Peter Marshall suggested

•Brown Willy in Cornwall
And from Dom Gallagher:

•Penisarwaen in Gwynedd. For added bonus it means 'Head of the bog' So I guess you could loosely translate it as toilet-seat
James Foley contributed:

•Pont-Y-Pant (just south of Betws-y-Coed)
•Spurmbridge
•Nobton-on-nob
I must confess to being unable to locate the latter two on Multimap though........

Steve Carrotte suggested Fanny Hands Lane, Market Rasen, Lincs. Apparently one of the most stolen signs in Lincolnshire!

Callum Moore added Condom, Midi-Pyrenees, France - thanks

Peter Larbalestier managed to find 'Dancing Dicks' - I bet the owner of this establishmentis chortling to themselves.

Graham South spotted this symptom of excess curry intake in Falkland, Scotland:

Doug tells me 'There's a lane not far from where I live called "Danes Back Passage", although Google maps has it as "Danes Backside". The sign is nicked frequently and they haven't bothered to replace it for a while, but if it's there next time I'm passing I'll take a quick piccy for your collection.

Click here to see for yourself

Tim Rusby spotted these:

•Fan Y Big, a mountain in the Brecon Beacons not too far from Lord Hereford's Knob
•Great Cockup, a peak near to Skiddaw in the Lake District
•Cum Cum Hill, a road near Hatfield in hertfordshire
•Bonkers Hill, leading from Harlow to Sawbridgeworth
Ian Fletcher from The Self Build Motor Caravanners Club suggested this: Can I also offer one to the list ..it is LUNT Road in Willenhall, Westmidlands. The signs have been changed by the council so many times due to little scrotes with a pot of black paint adding a top bit to the L you wouldn't believe... They now carry a small pot of white paint to paint out the black addition...its been going on for years now..

Steward Alcock was reminded of an aquaintance of his who went for a job interview in Upton on Severn. When he asked for the address he was told that he would not have to write it down because he would never forget it: Minge Lane

Andy Dunn found that by entering the postcode GL6 7QY into the Royal Mail postcode checker you get Cockshoot Cottage in Cockshoot!

Ex colleague Chris Ellis stumbled across

•Shaftenhoe End
•Shingay Cum Wendy
John spotted this place. Thinking of carpet munchers on heat.

Doug Abbott found this place. Fingering who?

Any photos of their signposts would be gratefully appreciated.

We're supposed to be sniffing 'round Oscar Cardozo from Benfica. He's a monster like Carew, and he knows where the goal is. 10 goals in 9 appearences this season.

Surely not?
