He casts blame to me of what he has become himself. Mob members do that every day, they campaign and riot – cause harm to the club – then blame people like myself for supporting the regime – that we are the downfall – when in fact it is themselves – they cast their guilt onto others to justify themselves to themselves.

This statement that Sir Alan somehow has a “horrendous record that resulted in our demotion” totally ignores the fact that he was brought in with only 8 games left and tried to turn around a totally demoralised and disinterested squad. Many Many points had been thrown away by Kinnear and Hughton long before Sir Alan was given his chance.

This “horrendous record” opinion also gives no credit for the time when Sir Alan was telling Glenn Roeder how to manage, and they had a very good run. Once Sir Alan left, Roeder fell apart.

On one hand some of our supporters say Shearer is no good after his 8 games he showed nothing, then on the other they complain we never give anyone enough time.

Would have thought Shearer having played under a variety of managers with vastly different approaches would have learned something, apart from good timekeeping and a tendency to-wards being , “the tough guy”
Though that was always part of the man even as a player.
Though i wish him well, there are no regrets about him not being hired permanently, He never looked the part, or inspired any confidence and was unfortunately for us the rookie he appeared to be .

There were other factors in his denial of the job, a possible repeat of the KK scenario, with Shearer wanting to spend on players, plus an additional salary, anyway it would have cost MA who was not about to invest heavily in a club that was” For Sale”
And WORKEY you got that right” jabba the hut” was no compliment to the team or him.
