I will admit when it comes to KK I might be a bit biased But not with Big Al.
My main problem with CH is that he allways seems to stick with the Senior players wiether they are not fully fit or just struggling, which means one of my “FAV’s” Guthrie never gets a good run in the center where I think he can make his own and can be a real cracking wee player and I think will be good in the EPL.
Oh it was good to see him making that position his own tonite .

Dave, He had a kind of metatarsal injury which shouldn’t have affected his play that much, and as we can see ATM, a player with Barton’s qualities would be an important addition to our rather stodgy midfield. Every time, both yourself and other people seem to be putting the worst possible interpretation on Hughton’s actions, interpretations that you almost certainly wouldn’t make if the manager was Shearer or Keegan. That’s wrong and you can never make good impartial decisions like that in the real world. When decisions are made on that basis, they are usually the first stop on the road to ruin.

Dave, to be honest I’m not really very interested any more. I don’t think that anything will change the natural antipathy and bias against Hughton with some people.

I said it was a good thing but becomes a bad thing when the seniors become to powerful and almost undroppable.

??? who’s the players that hated him ?? the player your talking about is Joey Barton the man with the hottest temper in our team, who was just hauled off and ignored by Big Al so im pretty sure he was well pissed off.lol
and im sure the players would be much happier now anything for a quiet life and a lot less work.

Establishing clear channels of communication is a very good thing in leadership, Dave, as is giving team members a degree of self responsibity. It enables a leader too manage complexity with greater ease and concentrate on other things. That’s a good thing, not a bad thing.

Shearer tried to be like Souness, and like Souness, he failed miserably. He had players hating him eventually (and his sidekick even more), with one telling him that he was a “sh*t manager with sh*t tactics”. What kind of leadership is that? The players are much happier now and despite what some idiots say, they are far more motivated too.

I still don’t understand why you don’t think that Chris Hughton has the “steel” to control a dressing room though, when the evidence points to the contrary. It’s more often loudmouthed egotists like Shearer and Souness who escalate conflicts and lose control in dressing rooms in the long run.

Is it a fact that Ireland`s dressing room has always been one that “likes to party” (Any more than England Wales or Scotland)and in your experience would need someone strong to control it, exactly what is your experience in regard to the Ireland dressing room because thats what we are talking about , No?
You also seem to know a lot about what happens in the
Newcastle dressing room, guess you do get about, or are you basing your statement on tabloid rumor ?
