This is just a quick note to let you all know that due to problems with the site’s current server during very busy times, we will be migrating to a new one from around 2pm tomorrow afternoon (6th January). There shouldn’t be too much inconvenience, however there may be a fairly short period when ‘blog activity is stopped, and comments locked for a few hours or so. When this process is over, the site should be running much better, with far fewer glitches and delays during busy times.

Like I said. Bent scored a hatrick. Surely thats worth a blog… Some pretty decent goals in their too.
IMO he may not score the goals Ameobi does but he looks a far more composed and accomplished player on the ball.
Also has a bit of pace about him, and his movement off the ball offers us something different.
I think West Ham really struggled to track him and Loverboys runs. I think Best and Carroll could form a very decent partnership if he can keep up this confidence.

Much as I’d like to think yesterday was all about Best showing his true form, it must be said that Wet Spam were truly awful all over the place and especially Tomkins who gifted us three goals with some of the worst defending I’ve seen at BPL level or at least since Bramble was playing for us
Undoubtedly Best’s confidence was given a boost last night so hopefully a run out against Stevenage will help even more ?

Roy, it seems that somehow you managed to post on the pre-transfer blog. I’m not sure how because I know that comments were locked as I couldn’t post myself!
Apologies, but we’ve been moving to a new server to get shot of the dreadful response times we were getting on the old one.
DNS transfer took longer than I anticipated on a .org but – for me at least (and anyone else who has posted here since my ‘test’ comment) – it seems to be pointing to the new blog now.

‘Cause I’ve been deein’ this first, batty! Then we’re updating to the latest version of the ‘blog, AND I’ve been helping Toonsy with stuff like backups and CPanels along with quite a few other things as well. When all of this is over, the site is running nicely again and everyone is actually looking at the same site, rather than one in Utah and one in Scrumpyland, then we’ll strt writing ‘blogs and putting links in. The site on the new server finally seems have trickled aroound the world now. Once again, sorry for the inconvenience and a few lost comments as a result of the very slow transfer.
After upgrading this evening, it should be back up and running as normal in time for the Stevenage game.

No Stuart, the upgrade won’t affect things like the server move has and I think we’ll put that off for another day anyway just to crack on as we’ve alredy missed one match, and that was a 5-0! I’ve never known it take so long for a site to trickle around the world before and Hugh said much the same thing, and he has alot of experience of this kind of thing.

Well Hugh’s server’s like shite off a stick by the look of things, so there’ll be no more of that waiting, or not being able to establish a connection at all anyway. It was worth the wait in the long run.

Army 69, Don’t more any more about Larsson than you if you’ve been glued to Sky, but it turns out some of the older signings most people thought were shite weren’t so bad after all, we’ve just got one of the best young players in Europe permantantly for just over £5 million, another great midfielder for just over £3 million, and another one (Gosling) is coming back as well, and Carroll’s apparently worth £20 million all of a sudden so HWTL!
