Match highlights of what was an very good game overall for a 0-0 draw.

Newcastle United manager, Alan Pardew, congratulates hais players on what he describes as an “outstanding” performance in the opening thity minutes. Ackknowledging that Manchester United had the better of the second half generally, he also congratulates his lads’ for defending “superbly and heroically at times”. He also comments that Lovenkrands had a “definite penalty”, which I’m sure many fans would agree with!

    Good game and a good result. It was clear Shola wasn’t fully fit and lovenkrands struggled. Bit apart fom that it was a great team performance

    That game belies the idea that if you attack manusa you get crushed.
    Well we had a proper go at them with a depleted team & got something out of it.

    A deserved point!

    i saw there was some report but resisted the temptation to look, as i couldn’t give a flying **** what an ex player is crying about.
    We paid him, he left, so he can shut it, end of.
