Match highlights, with goals from Shola Ameobi (9mins), Fabricio Coloccini (53 mins) and great goal from substitute, Haris Vuckic in stoppage time. Nice one WT. I gave up listening to the CC commentator at half time as I think he was speaking a different language !

Some plus points ? Gosling appears to be fit at last. Mehdi Abeid looks like he could do the biz at BPL level and Vuckic?

Minus points – Pardwho the cockney slimeball ! This fella is damned if he does and damned if he doesnt but toeing the party line will eventually remove all support for him from the fans. Is £400k a year worth it ?

    Nice!
    ;)
Good goal from Vuckic, Gosling deserved one too.
Looked like the new boys are starting to gel.
Marveaux & Abeid both look canny.
    Good progression through the tour.

PS what was all that “Silverlight” shite about ?

I havent trusted Microsoft to deliver a working, secure useful piece of software since XP. Try to avoid Silverlight downloads wherever possible :(

    El Toro,
    alreet mate,
Yea, not much hoofing going on, which is nice to see. hey?
The MF looks way more mobile, even in that heat.
It’s also good to see a few young ‘uns starting to look almost ready.

Agree with El Toro. We looked to be playing some brilliant football there. i’m looking forward to the new season already.

If Gosling keeps playing like he is I can see him being an able replacement for Barton next year. Maybe we need to stop stressing out so much and trust in some of the players we have.

I am taking a liking to Gosling and Marveaux. Cabaye and Ba’s chance will be with the Leeds game.

The knock thru by gosling early on to Ba was pure class, Ba could do with getting some shootin practice in , if he’s getting served by the midfield every match like that he will get a sack full .

I think the crew gave us far too much space , will be interested to see against leeds how they operate whilst being harried and given no space !

Also will Vuckcic at 18 years really be played for 90 mins by pardoo , it’s interesting , if they let him run where he likes it will be great, with him and a fit ben arfa …menacing.

I remember an 18 year old fresh faced – Ryan Giggs , being told by Sir Alex Ferguson at pre-match, ” Run your heart out son, and run anywhere you like ” , what an invitation !!

I think Giggs must of had those words ringing in his ears when he was running round his brothers house and banging his missus.

what is wrong with tiote – thought he was supposed to be working on his bookings. obviously hasnt worked. would like to see a young defensive midfielder signed up to fill in when hes banned instead of smithy

i was at the columbus game and met with a few of the boys who had done kansas and orlando aswell and they said this was by far the best newcastle played as the temp had dropped and the fitness levels had increased
we had full access to all the players in the hotel and they seemed happy, relaxed and were all very friendly and signed autographs and posed for photos (apart from alan smith)
from what i seen and herd gosling and abied have been the big benefactors of this tour with injury to hba the only real low point
also before this game vuckic had also stood out as a player nufc might get some use out of this season
so as it stands i still believe we need 2 -3 quality players but the foundation is there if we strengthen sensibly

    @ darlo mag

wait till you see abied hes just like titoe man tough tackling and quick feet we also have gosling when fit so i think we have a strong centre mid with tiote cabaye gosling and abied to cover the season

@20 i saw him at the darlington game – looked more of an attacking midfielder to me. Very promising signing though wherever he plays.
