Manchester City vs Newcastle United match highlights and post match interviews.

Highlights of Newcastle United’s 1-3 defeat to Manchester City, who, somewhat predictably going on their recent form, finally ended our long unbeaten Premiership run. After City goals from Mario Balotelli (pen), Micah Richards and Sergio Aguero (pen), the Magpies finally managed a consolation goal from Dan Gosling. Though the defeat was hardly a shock, the lads will undoubtedly be rueing a few missed chances in this one.

A full match report from my erstwhile colleague, Hugh, is available here.

As usual, I shall endeavour to update these highlights with better ones when they become available.

  1. Beaten by 2 f****** pens, away.
How many times in a season full of league games will a team get 2 pens in a game?
    More f****** pens at mancland.

At least we did better than most at their place & kept the score respectable, our goal helped with GD.

No luck in that game, from what i’ve seen.

    Shit!
aren’t hansen & Shearer 2 of the smuggest ‘pundits’ on tv. That ‘cheat’ blackburn v wigan & their shitty response sucked.
A classic example of all that’s wrong with football & more especially football punditry, yuk!

  2. Clint – Shearer has done himself no favours on MOTD, most outside Newcastle disliked him as a player but detest him as a smarmy pundit. That 3 player format is long past its sell buy date.

  3. supermac,

aye mate, in fact, that format is beyond it’s ‘use by’ date, but that won’t stop the bbc(boring bunch of c un ts) & the other mongs wringing every last drop out of it, will it?

    Tedious watching in the extreme.

I wish they’d turn the crowd up & the commentators down too, it sucks any atmos right out of it.

Clint, it isn’t the format, it’s the pundits.

Pardew was the best one. He lasted for one MOTD, caused more uproar than Gary Glitter in a creche with his “raped” comment, and was subsequently descibed as a “dangerous and distant animal” by someone at the BBC. That’s not bad for one show.

“Pardew “raped” comment – forgot all about it!”

Of course the biggest irony of all is that the player Pardew accused of raping Essien, Ched Evans, was actually charged with rape in the summer. He hasn’t been tried yet though and he may be innocent, but still, that is ironic!
