Manchester United vs Newcastle United 30 minute highlights and post match interviews.

Highlights of the game. Now updated with super length thity minute long ones. Just ignore the stuff about Carlisle vs Colchester!

MOTD highlights.

Post match interviews

The Silver Supremo thought we didn’t deserve to be a man down, praises some “heroic” defending from the lads, but also acknowledged the that the penalty may have been somewhat fortunate.

Meanwhile “Chuckles” Ferguson is absolutely livid about our “travesty” of a penalty!

How the hell did rooney the thug stay on the pitch after his pathetic attack on Colo?
Well in HBA, no wonder he was bouncki’ after what the other mancs did to him last year.

Nice ‘dodgy’ pen at ot, after their sketchy ‘handball?’ deflected lucky goal.

    Great defence, yet again!

    Toon Toon!

Superb result. What an effort by the lads!

Had that feeling all week we’d get something today.

Bring on Chelski and 3 more points! :D

Oh, and, ahem, Never mind Mackems. Better luck next week I’m sure. he he

This shows how far the team have come. Not just because the lads win when they need to and dig in when they have to, but they do all this while the boardroom chimps do their best to destroy morale. Oh yeah and the soapless keep losing – I dream of the season end when we get into CL, the mackems drop into the champs and Brucey applies for a job at Maccy D’s. Roll on the new year!

When was the last time ANYONE got a pen & especially a ‘dodgy’ one at ot.
    Think yerself lucky man.

I guess he’s gonna overlook getting a dodgy game & playing 10 men.

Not the team they were, fact!

We really need a LB in january, Raylor is far too shaky against the best players and Pardew for some reason does not like Santon.

Well, a lot of fans will have watched MOTD as I have just done and thought -
    1) take that manure you arrogant tossers !
    2) this NUFC team has earned respect – they may not finish 4th, but its no fluke, they have now played several top teams and come through with credit !

We are a big club – with a top team again – HWTL

If KK’s entertainers had a defence like this they would have won the trebble – and the Grand National – and The Grand Prix – and the Boat Race – and the Great North Run!

    avatar Supermac says:

“Pardew for some reason does not like Santon” – did he want him, or was he just given him – or was time running out and anyone would do ?
Buying him was a suprise at the time – not playing him is a suprise now, especial when Perch was prefered today as sub as an extra defender.

Sunday Express “For Newcastle it was a match that confirmed the strength of their revival under manager Alan Pardew. They played with class and composure in midfield, and with bravery and brilliance in defence”

Supermac, The last time we went so many games unbeaten was during the time of the Entertainers. Somewhat ironically, it was when Keegan tried to get more defensive, trying to fit the more defensive David Batty into the midfield when our title challenge went all to pot.

Thanks Paul. As I wrote above, I’ve put up full half hour highlights now.

Triumph through defence? That sounds a bit like a nazi slogan. Do you think that Pardew’s stormtroopers will conquer Europe next year? :-)

    avatar Paul in Hollywood says:

“Fortiter Defendit Triumphans”, Worky. It’s our motto for crying out loud! Or, as Quentin Hogg (who?) said on the steps of 10, Downing Street after the Falklands War, “if you don’t know what it means, go away and look it up!”

Oh, and yes, I think we can and will take on Europe next year. We’re getting back to where we belong.

Aye, it is Paul! Well, it’s the city’s motto anyway, Bestowed by King Charles for our support during the civil war. Newcastle were Royalists and the Mackems were with Cromwell. Ghastly fellow but King Charles was something of a rotter too.

More literally it translates as something like “Brave / powerful / bold defence triumphant.”

Well he certainly fights his team’s corner Tripp and knows how to get a sulk on when he doesn’t get his own way. I wouldn’t complain quite so much if he’d been our manager for the last 20 odd years though. ;-)

ha ha. Love MUFC’s arrogance. feck ‘em. What a bunch of “derserving” winkers. Gettin’ up in the ref’s “grill” lick that that. Roll on chelski. next…

    Phisix @ 12

‘…Pardew for some reason does not like Santon…’

I don’t think so. It’s more ‘if it ain’t bust don’t fix it’ regarding the defence. Santon’s time will come.

As Pardew does all the defence coaching, I think he sees something in Perch(and is possibly the first to do so), perhaps not as a true defender more a defensive midfielder. I have noticed that he is no longer picking up his yellow per game card but that might be because he is only used as a sub.

  33. 33
    avatar Phisix says:

I hope so because sooner or later Raylor is going to cost us when he gets skinned. I love the lad but he is only a temp LB.

Perch might be playing a tiny bit better because he feels he has the believe of the manager, especially after being dropped after his first lot of games for us last season.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/nov/26/alan-pardew-newcastle – big name to be sold!
Mind you, manc wants to sell 20 players under FFP – and buy van Persie ! The sooner this lot sod off to a euro super-league the better!

  35. 35
    avatar Munich Mag says:

Why criticise Raylor, yesterday the lad had a magnificent game !!

  36. 36
    avatar Supermac says:

Munich – yes, I said yesterday he had a bad day v manc, but that’s football & he would come back to his good form – which he did. He has been a revelation this season, not a star but a solid dependable pro – much to my suprise I admit, I wanted us to sell him pre-season!

  37. 37
    avatar Munich Mag says:

Supermac…you’re right mate, hats off too to Pardew for showing faith in the lad after the City game, although if the truth be known Pardew doesn’t seem to have any other viable options at the moment !
Raylor showed immense strength of character yesterday to hold his own, and played his part in a strong defensive performance. At the same time I’d still be happier to see a left sided player in the left back berth though.
