A high quality live stream of this evening’s second leg Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between Demba Ba and Papiss Cisse’s Senegal, and Cheick Tiote’s Ivory Coast.
In case you don’t know, the outcome of this game could have important consequences for Newcastle United. If underdogs Senegal manage to overcome a two goal deficit (the first leg was 4-2 to the Ivorians), then the club could find that their only proper strikers during the ACON tournament proper, which will be held in South Africa from the 19th January to the 10 February, will be the Shola Ameobi and Academy hitman, Adam Campbell, though Shola’s brother Sammy can also play upfront at a push and Hatem Ben Arfa can act as a “second” striker. It’s not a great situation though. On the other hand, if favourites, Ivory Coast win, then we will be without key midfield enforcer, Cheick Tiote. Whoever goes, they will not be available for our games against Reading (19th Jan), Aston Villa (29th Jan), Chelsea (2nd Feb) and Tottenham (9th Feb).
Who do you think Newcastle United will miss more?
Looking forward to this evening’s game, Alan Pardew had this to say:
“I will lose one world class player or two world class players, so I’d rather Chieck bangs a couple in (so Ivory Coast progress) and then I’ll lose just the one player. But if it’s the other way round, I have no problem with that – I’ll have Chieck on board. Senegal love Newcastle and if they heard the Newcastle manager is rooting for another country they wouldn’t be happy, so I am completely neutral.”

Sir Mike Ashley @6:
Yes, and Jimmy Savile was a Knight.
Why the f*ck was Jimmy f*cking Savile, a highly eccentric disc jockey, in charge of Broadmoor high-security psychiatric hospital? It totally beggars belief.
Savile was the father of all modern DJs though. He was the first one ever to get a second turntable, hook both up to a small mixing desk and blend the records he played together seamlessly.
And toontony, Ivory Coast are definitely going through, so it will be Ba and Cisse who are staying and Cheick Tiote who is going.

When will these Jimmy Saville sex allegations end? Police are now saying Jeremy Beadle may have had a small hand in it.

Very funny sampdiago.
So Tiote’s off for most of January and until mid February as I see IC reaching the final at least.

I only skimmed the article because it annoyed me in so may ways. It is the usual – person in authority must be right cr@p + some god crap + it must be true because he was dead and then reborn.
Well, if his brain is now functioning then he is susceptible to all the same delusions as the rest of us.
The weird thing about reading articles on-line is the comments. Apart from on here, obviously
But doesn’t it just make you fear for the future when you read some of the idiots that think they have something to say.
