Warnock: Drumming up one last bid for Moses?
Crystal Palace manager, Neil Warnock, has been giving his opinions on the hunt for Palace’s 19 year old winger / striker, Victor Moses, who has of course been the subject of an alleged £2 million pound bid from Newcastle United.

However, he was speaking of a further development, where Dave Whelan’s Wigan Athletic have apparently trumped the Toon with a £2.5 million bid. Meanwhile, Sky Sports News are reporting that that Moses is “in talks” with the North West club.

Warnock said on the player, and the move by Wigan Athletic:

“I think it’s done. Victor is going to the Premier League and I think £2.5million is a snip for one of the best young players we’ve got at 19 years of age

“Manchester City should have bought him ages ago instead of messing about, but another Premier League club have made an offer. (more…)

Moses: Waiting for Madrid call?
Moses: Waiting for Madrid call?
The Agent for Toon transfer target, Victor Moses, has been speaking to Spanish newspaper, AS, of his desperate attempts to awaken the interest of high spending Real Madrid in the talented young winger. The agent, Tony Finnegan, told AS yesterday:

“There is interest from Madrid and I heard from a broker a few weeks ago. But I have not received a call from the white club.”

However, Moses’s club, Crystal Palace are currently in the hands of Administrators, who are anxious to get the player off the books before the closure of the January tranfer window. So desperate Finnigan urged Royal Madrid to get a move on, possibly so he could drive a better deal through for his player from the clubs who are really interested in him, including Newcastle United. On this Finnegan said:

“Crystal Palace wants to sell before the end of the winter transfer window on Monday, so I do not know what to expect.

“But it is clear that the player would rather go to Real Madrid.

“I hope you call us soon!”

Of course, it is understandable that Moses would prefer Real Madrid to the likes of Newcastle, West Brom and Nottingham Forest, as he would almost certainly find an immediate berth in the first team there. It is well known that the Madrid squad is currently suffering from a dearth of talent in the the midfield area, (more…)

Toon supremo, Chris Hughton, has given notice of his intent to get Crystal Palace young talent, Victor Moses in a black and white shirt.

Hughton, who has recently tied up deals for Mike Williamson, Wayne Routledge, Fitz Hall and Patrick van Aanholt said on Moses:

“It’s been documented that we are very interested in signing the lad.

“Most people are also aware of the circumstances with Crystal Palace and the situation they are in, and we hope to make progress on that over the next couple of days.

“It’s one we have a very, very keen interest in.

“He is a player who has an ability to score goals. There is a power and pace, but it is his potential. (more…)

Moses: Another Nigerian gymnast.
Moses: Another Nigerian gymnast.
Administrators currently in charge of the financial affairs of Crystal Palace have been considering bids from West Brom and Nottingham Forest for talented 19 year old starlet, Victor Moses. In a further development however, Moses’s agent, Tony Finnegan, has now claimed that Mike Ashley and Newcastle United have finally thrown their hat into the ring with a bid too. Though we are not cynical here at NUFC Blog, it has been known for agents to talks complete and utter guff in an attempt to get the best possible deals for their clients. Of course though, we wouldn’t dream of suggesting that anything of the sort was happening here!

While the West Brom bid is known to be around £1.5 million, it is not known for certain what the other bids are at this stage. However it is thought that the player will eventually go for a much higher sum, with West Brom manager, Roberto Di Matteo conceeding that he may lose out to some much weightier bids before the player’s fate is sealed.

Meanwhile, the Administrators have acknowleged that Moses was intententionally left out of the Palace squad for their away game with the Magpies yesterday evening (much to the annoyance of Palace’s manager, Neil Warnock), with head administrator, Brendan Guilfoyle admitting: (more…)
