France vs Ukraine quality live stream / match video

November 19th, 2013 | 55 Comments |

With so many France internationals in the Newcastle United team nowadays, I just thought I’d post a live stream for this evening’s crucial World Cup Qualifier between France and the Ukraine so you can see how the likes of Cabaye, Remy and Sissoko get on. Alas, there will be no Ben Arfa as he is about as popular as Eichmann at a Bar Mitzvah with current France manager Didier Deschamps, who was Benny’s manager when he went on strike at Marseilles.

The kick-off will be at 8.00pm UK time and the show should start around 7.45pm. (more…)

Slovenia v England – World Cup match banter.

Come on England!
Come on England!
It’s a case of one last throw of the dice for England this afternoon as they take on Slovenia in Port Elizabeth.

England’s performances in the first two group games have left a lot to be desired and have attracted their fair share of criticism from fans, pundits and press, and rightly so.

But now is the time for the players to put that behind them and show England fans that they have the ability to give a decent account of themselves, and to ensure that they get the win needed to secure a place in the knockout stages of the tournament.

As ever, this is the place for everyone, of any nationality, to get involved and piss and moan about the England game, and of course, to piss and moan about the USA v Algeria game aswell, as the result of that match could come into play with regard to the fortunes of England and whether they qualify for the next round. No trip for you my son

Newcastle United boss Chris Hughton might upset Diego Maradona over the availability of Fabricio Coloccini for World Cup duty.

The defender managed to strain his groin during the game against Ipswich, was absent for last night’s game against QPR and has already been ruled out of Newcastle’s game against Bristol City at the weekend.

However, Coloccini is due to link up with the woeful Argentina squad to try and help them salvage a World Cup place from their qualifiers against Peru and Uruguay, but Hughton is putting his foot down. Hughton said:

If he’s not fit for the weekend, then no, and he’ll certainly miss the [World Cup] weekend.

“It’s one I need to check, but from our point of view, if he doesn’t play the weekend, then he’s not going. If we all had a choice as coaches, you’d prefer it if everybody stayed.

“At this moment Jonas is fit, and it’s his prerogative and privilege to go away with his country.” (more…)
